Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, June 10th 7:30PM

We all enjoyed a talk from Brian Glazier as he spoke about live food collecting and culturing of live foods. He even brought in some live cultures for our auction table and there were some very happy winners!

Speaking of our auction table, this meeting was one of our best yet, bringing over $600. There were over 50 bags of fish, approximately 25 bags of plants and misc items like shrimp, hard goods (including caves donated by Cat's Caves!), air pumps, and vinegar eel cultures!

We enjoyed playing the ‘Fish in a Bag’ game twice! With one fish donated by Big Al’s and a second by our own veteran member Myron!

Finally,we wrapped up our annual contests!

Contest 1: BAP (Breeder Award Program) had 20 submissions this year and congratulations go to Keith Davy who won with 85 points! Keith gets a gift certificate to Kowloons, one of our amazing sponsors!

Contest 2: Blue Fish Contest had many submissions and a draw was made. Keith Davy’s name was drawn and he graciously asked for another name to be drawn, so congratulations to Paul McIntosh who also receives a gift certificate to one of our sponsors!

Contest 3: AHAP (Aquatic Horticulture Award Program) had some troubles getting off the ground this past year so we put it on hold. Watch for it this September though as we have worked through the kinks!
