Improving the aquarium hobby by sharing knowledge and promoting conservation since 1967.
The Durham Region Aquarium Society (DRAS) was established in September of 1966 to assist in the advancement and improvement of the aquarium hobbyist. We held our first annual show and created a monthly bulletin in 1967. Today we continue that tradition with monthly events, an annual mega-auction and dinner, as well as our Tank Talk digital publication. DRAS also works with local, national, and international aquatic organizations toward the shared goal of conservation.
